George Miller says he still has plans to do one Mad Max Fury Road Sequel with Tom Hardy.

In 2015, Warner Bros. Pictures released the long awaited film Mad Max Fury Road. George Miller’s fourth entry in his action franchise, now starring Tom Hardy, who played Mel Gibson’s replacement, was widely acclaimed, and widely regarded as one of the best action movies of all time. So much so that the film, which was nominated for 10 Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Director, took six houses.

At the moment, George Miller is currently working on a prequel Fury Road, Angry. Anya Taylor-Joy is set to star in a younger version of the title heroine, who was introduced in a previous film, and Charlize Theron starred in one of her most acclaimed roles so far. While a prequel is on the way, Miller has mentioned that he still wants to bring a sequel to fans, and although Tom Hardy’s return has not been confirmed, it is possible that we will see him again at Mad Max soon:

“We have another story but it is not yet fully developed. We will look further down the chain.”

Whether we see Tom Hardy back in the role of Mad Max or not, George Miller is looking to return to the franchise with an upcoming film. Angry The prequel is exciting. Who knows? Perhaps we’ll see a teaser about the future of the franchise outside of this prequel, and we’ll finally get a long-awaited sequel to one of the best action movies ever made.
