Spoiler alert: The following story reveals the main plot points of NBC’s season 10 finale of Chicago Fire.
The long awaited Stellaride’s wedding day has finally arrived on NBC Chicago Fire And not even Matt Casey (Jesse Spencer) was willing to miss it. Casey, after all, is committed to standing by his best friend Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney) on his big day.
As series executive producer Derek Hass teased to lead the finale of Season 10, the bride and groom faced a complex emergency just hours before their wedding.
A burning woman was about to enter an apartment where a pregnant woman was seriously injured and in labor, all hands of 51 were on deck – minus a coward Emma Jacobs (Caitlin Carver) who abandoned her partner and was shot. It’s ridiculous that Emma thought she’d steal Violet’s (Hanako Greensmith) job, but she literally couldn’t stand the heat, and so on.

The arrival of a new baby will make the perfect seguet for the wedding, one would think. But when the bride Stella Kid (Miranda Ray Mayo) and her groom got ready to celebrate, there was a schedule problem that left them spaceless.
Shout out to episode writers Andrea Newman and Michael Gilvary who seem to really want to torture the audience!
In short, the idea of suspension crossed their minds but the best man came in with a pinch. Casey secures a tour boat ready to take on the role of captain of the ship.
Bowden (Eamonn Walker) walks Stella down the corridor as John plays the legendary “All of Me” in the background.
The couple shared their own vows:
Kelly from Stella:
“Kelly, the simple truth is that you’re magic to me. When I’m at my lowest, you lift me up and you’re never by my side. You’re the best. Yeah, we’re unknowingly taking a huge, crazy jump but we’re doing it together. And when I hear it, you tell me, ‘You got it, Stella Kid.’ And I know that everything will work out when I’m with you. Kelly Severide, I love you with everything I’ve got and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you. “
Kelly to Stella:
“Stella, I decided long ago that if I wanted to be with you, I had to be worthy of you – which seemed impossible. How could I be worthy of someone who was brave enough to show me who was inside and out? What makes me a good person is that you keep me from locking things up. Instead, you make sure you really know me. And by some miracle, you still love me. Stella, I may never be worthy of you. I can, but I promise I’ll spend the rest of my life trying. I love you. “
And that’s right, they’re male and female.
But that was not the end of the episode, not at all. Matt and Sylvie Brett (Cara Kilmer) still have a relationship. The couple decided to spend the rest of the night together before going their separate ways. Sorry Bretsy fans 🙁
The news comes as no surprise as Spencer has no immediate plans to return for another episode Chicago Fire While Kilmar continues as a regular series.
