Johnny Depp Missed the opportunity to dismiss him Amber Hard Its counter-claim. Lawsuits between husband and wife are gaining momentum. On Tuesday, a Virginia judge rejected Johnny Depp’s motion to dismiss Amber Hard’s counter-claim, ruling that the jury should decide the matter. In a counter-claim, Hollywood pet lawyer Adam Waldman has tarnished the actress’ reputation and caused irreparable damage to her career when he accused the actress of having a personality disorder by alleging fraudulent violence against Amber and her friends. On Tuesday morning, representatives of the ex-wife came to court with their arguments, which prompted Johnny’s party to file a motion to dismiss the case.
However, Depp’s lawyer Ben Chu argued that Waldman had expressed his views. Therefore, after the actor’s representative claimed that he could not defame that DEPP had seen Waldman’s statement before filing a counter-claim or that there was no evidence that he knew about it. “She believed, and will continue to believe, until her death that Mrs. Hard’s allegations of abuse are false,” Chu said.
But the team’s Ben Rottenburn has heard claims that Waldman has acted as their opponent’s lawyer and that Depp is responsible for his behavior. He further added that there was ample evidence that Johnny Hard had been abused and that, as a result, the decision to pay compensation in the counter-claim should be left to the jury.
Judge Penny today denied Depp’s application, saying it was not his job to judge the credibility or weight of the evidence. And Amber’s representatives did the same thing after the actor’s team dropped the case on May 3. The Hollywood genius filed a lawsuit against his ex-wife alleging domestic violence in an article in the Washington Post in December 2018. However, the judge made it clear that the jury would have to decide on Depp’s case and Hard’s counter-claim.
