Kevin Mayer and Tom Stags’ Candle Media has acquired its latest company, Spanish-language content powerhouse Excel Content Studio.
Exile joins a list of candle-backed labels, including Ridge Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith’s Westbrook Studios, and Global Kids Powerhouse Munbagh Entertainment.
Founded in 2019 by Isaac Lee, former Univision and Televisa Chief Content Officer, Exile produces films, TV series and non-scripted TVs for the world’s 550M Spanish speakers, including recent projects. Lee and the senior management team at the deportation will continue to oversee the day-to-day operations of the deportation. The company is headquartered in LA, with offices in Mexico City, Madrid and Miami.
