MPA promotes Tom Zigo to VP of Communications and Public Affairs – Deadline

Tom Zigo has been promoted to Vice President of Communications and Public Affairs at the MPA.

Zigo, who joined the MPA three years ago, will now report to Emily Lenzner, executive vice president for communications and public affairs, and Greg Sapphire, senior vice president for external affairs. He will play an enhanced role as the organization communicates and integrates government affairs teams.

“This new structure will help Tom continue his impressive work across organizations including CARA, DE&I and External Affairs, Research, and Federal and State Government Affairs,” Lenzner and Safia wrote in a memo to staff on Wednesday.

Zigo has previously worked for Proper Strategy and Rubenstein Communications.

We are delighted to announce the promotion of Tom Jigo as Vice President of Communications and Public Affairs.

As part of his expanded role and to further integrate communications and government affairs teams, Tom will now have a dual report to me and Greg Sapphire. This new structure will help Tom continue his impressive work in the organization, including CARA, DE&I, and external affairs, research, and federal and state government affairs.

Since joining MPA three years ago, Tom has proven to be a valuable and integral part of the larger organization supporting not only the Comms team but also many MPA departments. Whether tackling the roll-out of our annual theme report, conducting complex press inquiries, or contributing to key advocacy priorities – Tom tackles every challenge with professionalism and efficiency. He brings a wide range of skills, talents and dedication to his work and delivers results that enable the association to support our members more effectively.
