Muchia Prada dresses Elvis Presley In a new biopic about the legendary king of rock and roll. Prada and Miu Miu’s creative director, along with Oscar-winning costume designer Katherine Martin, worked on the images on Buzz Luhrmann’s new tape.
If you like director Buzz Luhrmann’s work – expressive and very colorful – you should also thank costume designer Katherine Martin for that feeling. He was responsible for creating the visual appearance of the heroes of “Moulin Rouge”, “Romeo + Juliet” and “The Great Gatsby”. For these two tape dresses, Katherine received an Oscar statue.
While working on The Great Gatsby starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Martin Prada joined the creative forces with Muchia Prada, the creative director of Miu Miu. Their efforts were justified by the Academy Awards, and now the collaboration has been repeated: Italian designers once again dress up the characters of Buzz Luhrmann and Katherine (partners not only in movies, but also in life). This time around, costume designer Elvis Presley and his crew, along with Senora Prada, have redesigned the costumes for the Elvis movie, which is set to premiere at the 75th Cannes Film Festival.
In the biopic, which tells the story of growing up and becoming the king of rock and roll, Austin Butler plays the role of Presley. According to recent publications on social networks, Screen Elvis and his wife Priscilla will spend some of their screen time in images that will bring together the signs of Prada and Miu Miu and the spirit of the musician era.
