The Spanish division of Newen Studios has launched the documentary producer CAPA Spain with iZen Amy and PBD-winning director and journalist Thomas Ocana.
CAPA Spain will work to develop international documentaries in Spain and the wider Hispanic market.
Investigative journalist Okana is known for the Doku-series In Lucy Spider webWhich was the Spanish national television streamer RTVEPlay and was selected to premiere in 2021 at the 24th Malaga Festival.
He has also participated in major investigative journalism projects such as the Panama Papers and the Swiss Leaks, and many of his stories revolve around rom, gambling, corruption, drug trafficking, environmental destruction, labor exploitation, and fraud. For example, he worked on drama projects like Netflix El Chapo.
Since 2017, Ocaña has led its own production boutique called The Facto Productions, based in Madrid and Miami, to tell stories of general interest that others may or may not publish. He uses English language production techniques and descriptions in his programs.
Ocaña recently won an Ondas award GAL, triangleHe is now converting an investigative podcast into a document series
