Exclusive: A24 and re-team for Plan B Entertainment Wizards! Accompanied by acclaimed Australian writer and director David Mitchell’s new film Pete Davidson, Franz Rogowski, Naomi Scott and Shawn Harris. Mitchod also wrote the script, which is based on a story by Joel Edgarton and Mitchell. Plan B Entertainment’s Dead Gardner and Jeremy Kleiner will co-produce Liz Watts.
The film follows Davidson and Rogowski, who play two helpless pothead beach-bar operators who stumble upon stolen loot that they really should have left alone. This marks the fourth collaboration between A24 and Plan B Entertainment in such an award-winning film. Moonlight, Minaret And The last black man in San Francisco. This is Plan B Entertainment’s third collaboration with Michod War equipment And King. It will re-use Michôd and Watts with A24 for the first time since 2014 Pirates. Watts recently joined See-Saw Films, through which he will produce the film.
A24 will lead the worldwide release of the film. The film will be shot in Queensland with the help of AUD $ 3.6 million through the Morrison Government’s Location Incentive Program and the Queensland Government’s Screen Queensland Production Attraction Strategy.
Davidson is busy in both the film and TV world as he is finishing another season Live Saturday night. According to the film, he will be seen next in the A24 horror comedy Body, body, body. His semi-autobiographical series Bupkis A series has just been ordered by Peacock.
Scott has been busy on both fronts recently starring in the Netflix drama Anatomy of a Scandal. He will be seen in the Amblin sci-fi movie Remote.
