We’ll see more of Dr. Elizabeth Wilder on NBC New Amsterdam. Sandra May Frank, who joined the series as a repeat in the current fourth season, has been promoted to the regular series for the upcoming fifth and final season, confirming the deadline.
Frank, who is deaf, portrays Elizabeth Wilder, a deaf surgeon and the new head of oncology at New Amsterdam Medical Center. Max (Ryan Egold) took his first interview to fill Helen’s (Freema Agieman) position. Max then offered him his job as the hospital’s medical director, which he declined, but joined the staff as head of oncology. He has appeared in 12 episodes this season.
