Streaming service Hulu has released a trailer of a documentary about rapper XXXTentacion (real name Jasey Onfroy) who was killed in 2018. The video was published on the platform’s YouTube channel.
The film, titled “Look at Me: XXXTentacion”, was directed by Sabah Folayan, who previously worked on a documentary project dedicated to the lives of African Americans.

The film tells about the life of a dead artist, his problems with law and his mental disorder. The project will include archival footage with the rapper, as well as interviews with his relatives, including the artist’s mother. He will confirm that his son was suffering from bipolar disorder and complained of “voice in his head”.
“I remember he said to me, ‘I make songs for broken people, for those who feel the same way as me,'” a close friend of XXXTentacion said in the trailer.

The project will hit the screens on May 26. The statement said the director “tried to convey a sensitive image of an artist whose violence, unbridled musical talent, and open struggle with mental problems left an unforgivable mark on his generation.”

The death of the 20-year-old rapper was reported on June 18, 2018. While the musician was in his car, he was attacked by two armed men. One of the assailants fired XXXTentacion with a pistol. Anfroy died of his injuries at the hospital before falling into a coma.
